Year 9 Visual Communication & Design

Our Year 9 Visual Communication & Design students have recently completed an exciting Logo Design Unit, where they explored the design process from initial ideas through to final presentation. As part of the unit, students developed their own unique logos and transformed these designs into custom-made stickers, allowing them to see their work produced in a real-world format.

Students are now beginning a creative new project inspired by the popular video game Crossy Road. They are currently designing their own original game characters, focusing on visual style, character features, colour schemes, and isometric drawing. We look forward to seeing the imaginative and colourful designs they create over the coming weeks.

Year 10 Visual Communication & Design

Year 10 students have recently completed their Environments Design Field Unit, where they investigated architectural and spatial design concepts. Throughout the project, students designed and constructed detailed 3D house models, demonstrating creativity, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of design elements and model-making techniques.

Students also explored packaging design through the creation of fragrance packaging concepts. This task encouraged students to consider branding, target audiences, aesthetics, and presentation methods used in commercial design industries. The final products showcased a wide range of creative and professional-looking outcomes.

We congratulate all students on their effort, creativity, and enthusiasm shown throughout these projects.
