Foundation/Year One Reminders:

- Home reading supports reading progress. We encourage children to read at home at least 3 times each week.
FOUNDATION NEWS
Following the success of our Writers Festival, our Foundation students were keen to keep showcasing their wonderful work! D1 and D3 have proudly displayed their spider and drain crafts in the gallery space outside their classrooms. D3 also has their imaginative Writers Festival books about magical lands on display for everyone to enjoy!
YEAR ONE NEWS
Year 1 students have continued to grow in our Writing skills and we couldn't be more proud of how far we have come! This week, we are publishing our latest Narrative stories about a plant or an animal, which links nicely with our learning we have begun in Humanities. We have been looking at our stories having a clear beginning, middle and end. This term we have focussed on some figurative language as well such as similes and alliteration - Kevin the Koala is as cuddly as a teddy bear. Please feel free to pop in next week and view our amazing published stories!
We are also very proud of our stories we created in Term 3 for our Writers Festival. Thank you to all families who came along and read our stories. These are going into our portfolios for students to take home at the end of the year!
