Waste Warriors

At Burwood East Primary School, we are proud to see so many of our students stepping up and making a real difference in our school community!

We continue to encourage every student to take responsibility for their environment and understand the positive impact they can have. Something as simple as picking up rubbish — even if it isn’t theirs — helps keep our school clean, safe and beautiful for everyone. Small actions truly make a BIG difference!

Our teachers are once again on the lookout for our incredible ‘Waste Warriors’ — students who take initiative, show leadership, and set a fantastic example for others by collecting rubbish around the school grounds. These students demonstrate pride in their school and care for their community, and we love celebrating their efforts in the Buzz newsletter and during assembly where they will receive a special Waste Warrior band! Students who show consistency throughout the term  in keeping BEPS clean and safe also receive a Waste Warrior Certificate!

Check out the photos below of some of our amazing Waste Warriors in action in the playground. We are so proud of the way they are leading the charge and helping to keep BEPS shining bright! 🌟
