Division Volleyball:

Bump, set, spike — the game was on,

Every serve and cheer shone strong.

With teamwork fierce and spirits high,

We gave our best — we reached the sky.

Through rallies long, our skills did grow,

Dedication in each throw.

We played with heart, we played with pride,

Together, standing side by side.

Second place — what a feat!

A team so strong could not be beat.

Chess Competition:

On Wednesday 22nd October, five of our students proudly represented Whitehorse in the State Semi-Final Chess Tournament. After a tense day of competition, they narrowly secured a place in the top eight schools out of 17—earning themselves a spot in the Victorian State Chess Finals!

The games were intense, and they all waited anxiously for the final results.

We would like to congratulate and acknowledge the students who participated in the Semi-Finals: Kayaan P, Shaaz H, Justin C, Harrison D, and Liam Y.

We wish you all the best in the next round!

Garden:

Digging up weeds in the sun,

Feeding the chickens is so much fun!

Oh, how the garden is so great,

And we love doing it with our mates!

We get the chicken’s eggs and put them on our plates.

Now the gong has rung

And sadly, our time here is done!

The Word Wizard waves a magic pen,

Uncovers meanings now and then.

Big, bright words and phrases shine,

Each page becomes a goldmine line.

The Connector links from text to heart,

To life and world — a clever art.

From stories told, we start to see,

How books reflect both you and me.

The Literary Luminary’s light,

Shows special parts that glow so bright.

They read aloud with voice and flair,

And soon we’re all transported there.

The Illustrator sketches scenes,

Of forests, heroes, hopes and dreams.

A single drawing, bold and true,

Brings life to stories old and new.

Together we discuss, explore, create,

Each voice unique — that’s what makes it great!

For every circle, every page,

Lights up our minds at every age.
