What's On In Foundation

PHONICS
There is a lot of Phonics fun happening in Foundation! Everyday students have explicit instruction in word building. Digraphs and sounds are explored, as we sound and write lots of different words. The 3 digraphs we have recently been focusing on are ‘ng’, ‘sh’ and ‘ch’. To complement our phonics focus, we have a word of the week, which we can use in our reading and writing sessions. We have eagerly created crafts that match the words beach, shark and king.
STEP INTO THE SPOTLIGHT
What a show! Our ‘Tricky Frogs’ absolutely shone on stage! We are so proud of how all students embraced the stage, even though there were some nerves. Below is some writing about the concert, based on our senses.
