What's On In Visual Arts

Our focus in Visual Art at the start of Term 4 was preparing for the production! Each year level created a collaborative artwork specific to their song and performance. Students began by analysing the connection between music and visual art, exploring album covers, and visual expressions of musical sounds and lyrics. Some Grades chose to approach their backdrop using traditional methods such as painting and drawing, while others opted for digital collages where each student edited and contributed visual elements. Colour schemes, typography and placement were all carefully and collaboratively considered to produce each backdrop. I’m so impressed with how the students mirrored their performance through visual art.
