Performing Arts - Term 3 Wrap Up

As we reach the end of Term 3, students have been celebrating their learning with a series of fun music quizzes that brought plenty of laughter, teamwork and friendly competition. These quizzes have been a great way for students to revisit key concepts from throughout the term, test their listening skills and enjoy some light‑hearted musical challenges together.

A highlight of our final weeks has been welcoming both the Australian Girls Choir (AGC) and the Australian Boys Choir (ABC) to BPPS for their annual audition visits. It was wonderful to see so many students stepping forward with confidence, curiosity and enthusiasm. The visiting teams were incredibly supportive, and our students represented the school beautifully.

Looking ahead to Term 4, we’re excited to explore how music and dance are woven into cultural celebrations around the world. Students will be learning about the ways communities use rhythm, movement and song to express identity, mark important moments and bring people together. A key part of this unit will be getting to know each other through the sharing of our own cultural heritages, celebrating the diverse traditions that make our school community so vibrant.

We’d also love to encourage students who enjoy singing to take part in our school choir, The Echidna Ensemble. It’s a welcoming, joyful group where students can build confidence, develop their musical skills and be part of something special. Rehearsal are held at Monday lunch times - with students from prep to 6 welcome.
