Student Leadership Team

It has been a pleasure to observe our student leaders over the past fortnight as they continue to engage authentically in their learning and school life. Their enthusiasm for their studies, positive presence in the yard, and genuine commitment to their peers and the wider school community have been truly inspiring.
This Thursday, we will hold our final meeting for the term, where students will begin to explore more deeply their role in supporting this year’s Attitudes to School Survey. This is an important opportunity for student voice to shape our school’s future direction. Students will also be invited to share their reflections on the current SWPBS and Merit systems, including the changes introduced throughout Term 1. Their insights will be invaluable as we continue to refine and strengthen these processes moving into Term 2 and beyond.
Once again, please read below for some short insight into what has been happening in years 8, 10 and 11 recently.

Some things that have being happing in year 8 in the last 2 weeks are that we have done a lot of tests and we have had a lot of fun over the past 2 weeks. We have learned about logos pathos and ethos in English. Some of us were selected to go to the Royal Melbourne Garden Show and it was amazing. We got to plant some plants, learn about what is good for plants and so much more.

It was a busy week for Year 10, with SACs and tests being carried out in various subjects. However, we were highly motivated and determined in class. We all showed resilience and good time management skills as we worked hard to achieve our goals. By the end of the week, we all felt a sense of achievement and relief for our hard work.

This week in Year 11, the VET Music students had their first showcase on the 25th of March, at which they played all original songs written by the students themselves, and attended Top Class Music on Tuesday 31st of March. Attending Top Class Drama was the VCE Drama students on Tuesday 24th of March as well. This week there has also been parent-teacher interviews and school is still compulsory on Thursday the 2nd of April, before school holidays kick off on Friday the 3rd of April.
