As we come to the end of Term 1, we find ourselves standing on the threshold of one of the most significant moments in the Christian calendar: Easter.  It is a time that invites reflection, gratitude and renewed hope.

The Easter story is one of profound love and sacrifice.  It begins in the shadow of Good Friday, where we are reminded of Jesus’ willingness to give of Himself completely for others.  In this moment, we see a model of selflessness, courage, and grace that continues to shape the values we seek to nurture in our students each day.  Yet, the story does not end there.

Easter Sunday brings the message of resurrection – a powerful reminder that light overcomes darkness, and that hope is never lost.  The empty tomb speaks of new life, fresh beginnings, and the promise that even in our most challenging moments, there is the possibility of renewal.  This is a message that resonates deeply within a school community, where growth, learning and transformation are part of everyday life.

In the context of our College, the Easter story encourages us to be people of hope.  It calls us to care for one another with compassion, to act with integrity, and to approach each day with a sense of purpose.  Whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, or in our relationships, we are reminded that small acts of kindness and courage can have a lasting impact.

As we head into the holiday break, I encourage each member of our community to take time to rest, to reconnect with family and friends, and to reflect on the deeper meaning of this season.  May it be a time of renewal for mind, body and spirit.

I wish all our families a safe and blessed Easter and look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 2.

AngliSchools Visit

Last week, we were delighted to welcome AngliSchools CEO, The Reverend Peter Laurence OAM, and AngliSchools Chair of the Board, Mrs Lynne Thomson, to the College.

During their visit, they acknowledged two of our staff members celebrating 20 years of service – Mr Andrew Leary and Mrs Debbie Price. We congratulate Andrew and Debbie on this significant milestone and thank them for their longstanding dedication to our community.

Father Peter and Mrs Thomson also spent time visiting a Year 8 Design class, enjoying the opportunity to speak with students about their learning and see their work firsthand.
