Junior School
Mr Simon Fairall - Deputy Principal, Junior School
As we conclude Term 1, I thank our students, staff and families for the strong sense of community that has shaped the beginning of the year. It has been a term marked by purposeful learning, positive relationships and a shared commitment to living out our Christian values.
A key focus this term has been encouraging students to be upstanders, not bystanders. This reflects Jesus’ call to love our neighbour, seek justice and show courage in our care for others. It also aligns with the Australian National Anti‑Bullying Framework, which emphasises the importance of empowering students to speak up, support others and take positive action to build safe, respectful and inclusive school communities.
In Years 5 and 6, students have engaged in thoughtful discussions about what it truly means to be inclusive. By learning about the range of neurodiversity, cultural backgrounds, and faiths within our community during GO Time, our students are developing a deeper understanding that everyone is unique and learns, communicates, and experiences the world in different ways. These conversations have encouraged students to value individual strengths, show empathy and consider how they can best support others through kindness, understanding and respectful action.
We are also pleased to share that students in Years 3, 4 and 5 are currently nominating themselves for the Junior School Ambassador Program. Ambassadors will be announced in early Term 2 and will serve in this role through to the end of Term 1, 2027. Junior School Ambassadors lead by example, strengthen student voice, support wellbeing and inclusion initiatives, assist with service and school events, and model positive, faith‑centred leadership in everyday school life.
As we enter the Easter season, we are reminded of the hope, renewal and new life found through Jesus’ death and resurrection. I wish all families a joyful and restful Easter and look forward to welcoming everyone back in Term 2 as we continue learning and growing together.
I would also like to remind families of the trans-seasonal uniform arrangements for the start of Term 2. Students may wear either the summer or winter uniform in its entirety.
At today’s assembly, we recognised and celebrated Academic Endeavour for Term 1.
Congratulations to the following students:

The Grand Défi de Trinity Languagenut competition for Term 1 has come to a close! It is wonderful to see students across years 3-6 in our top 10. Congratulations to Gursimar Kaur (Year 6), Rayansh Adhikari (Year 3) and Lyla Fenaughty (Year 4) who came first, second and third, all with over 200,000 points!

Languagenut will be running a Global Competition from Monday 20 April – Tuesday 5 May. There are some wonderful prizes up for grabs - see the below poster for more information!

Learning in French
Students in years 3-6 have been counting in French, and some year levels have created a Monstre des formes (Shape Monster) using their knowledge of numbers and shapes. Check out this creation by Ammarah in Year 6!

I wish everyone wonderful vacances, and I can't wait to speak French with you again in Terme 2!
Madame Chambers
In the final lesson of Creative Pursuits this term, students embraced the spirit of Easter through vibrant watercolour paintings and beautifully crafted miniature cards.
They enthusiastically applied a range of techniques explored throughout the term, experimenting with blending, layering and texture to create bright, joyful artworks. This session was a wonderful celebration of their creativity and growing confidence, as students proudly showcased their skills while producing colourful pieces full of personality and festive cheer.

Year 3-6 Creative Pursuits
Creative Pursuits has been off to a fantastic start this year, with students enthusiastically engaging in a wide range of activities. Cricket, indoor games, and watercolour painting have been particularly popular, with students enjoying the opportunity to build skills, stay active, and connect with others in a fun and supportive environment.
A big thank you to our wonderful external providers, Albury Skating Centre, Adrenaline Boxing and Conditioning, MAMA, and Joyful Balanced Yoga for Kids, for sharing their time and expertise with our students. Our students have greatly enjoyed their sessions.
If any parents are interested in supporting Creative Pursuits next term, we would love to hear from you. Please email me if you are available to assist. All volunteers will need a current Working With Children Check and must have completed the Trinity Parent Induction.
Wishing all our families a safe and happy Easter.
Families who wish to volunteer in 2026 and have not previously completed a Volunteer Induction are invited to join one of our upcoming sessions:
Tuesday 28 April, 4pm, online via Teams
To be eligible to volunteer, parents must hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and email it to: operations@trinityac.nsw.edu.au prior to being considered.
We deeply appreciate the contribution of our parent volunteers and thank you for your willingness to support the life of the school.
