Important Reminders...

Medications

As the end of the school year approaches, we ask that families please collect their child's/children's medications from the front office. Administration staff will be participating in various professional development and training sessions throughout the holidays which means the office may not always be open, so we ask that medications are collected before 4pm next Tuesday 9th December (Last day of school).

Thank you

Lost Property

The lost property rack is choc-full of tops, hats, jumpers, jackets, drink bottles, lunch boxes, glasses and more!

The lost property rack will be outside under the verandah by the front office at the beginning and end of each school day from tomorrow, Friday 5th December until the last day of school next Tuesday 9th December. Please come and check the rack to collect any named items that belong to your child/children.

Items not collected by the end of the school year are donated to ensure their continued use and they don't go into landfill.

Ordering Student Stationery 2026

Student stationery for 2026 will need to be ordered, by parents, through Campion Education.

Only 2 sleeps to go!

You are welcome to come along to our indoor Community Carol celebration at Good Shepherd church, Para Vista... this Saturday!

Enjoy an opportunity to sing along with some well-known Christmas carols. A family friendly event. See you soon!

Upcoming Events

For detailed information on upcoming end-of-year events, please check the calendar in the TASS Parent Orbit app. You can also see basic event details on the diary dates page at the end of this school newsletter.

As we near the end of Term 4 please remember...

Carpark Speed

We have seen a concerning number of cars speeding in the carpark, particularly in the right-hand drive through lane.

From entering at the church driveway until passing the Curiosity ELC driveway on Hillary Crescent, the speed limit in both lanes of our carpark is strictly 10kmh (walking pace) at all times.

Pedestrian Crossing

When unmonitored – cars are to give way to pedestrians – however if you are a pedestrian, please check carefully before stepping into the lanes of traffic.

When monitored – please follow the directions of staff and the lollypop sign.  They are there to keep pedestrians safe and to support the smoothest flow of traffic as possible.

Kiss and Drop

Gallery Image

There is one lane of traffic through the kiss and drop zone (left hand side, nearest to the verandah) and one lane parking and through traffic (right hand side). Please be courteous and patient in your use of this space.

There are just a few reminders...

  • Students may get out of or into cars that are stationary anywhere between the Yellow and Red diamonds.
  • Please move as far as practically forward so that it is safe for you to pull out of the kiss and drop lane.
  • Please do not get out of your car to assist children, if using 'kiss and drop' they need to be able to get into or out of the car themselves and strap themselves in.
  • If your child sits in the K – Z space, please continue forward as far as safely possible to maximise space and allow more cars to be collecting students at the same time.
  • Students have been reminded of their responsibility to be ready to get into the car, and to predict and listen to teacher guidance when looking to where they will be getting into the car. Students must only be entering and exiting vehicles on the verandah side of the car.

Beyond the School Grounds

Bus Stop - In South Australia, you cannot stop or park within 20 metres of the approach to a bus stop and not within 10 metres of the departure of a bus stop at all times. Please look out for the signage and adhere to the yellow road markings.

U-Turns - When performing a U-Turn on Montague Road at Milligan Drive, you must give way to vehicles entering Montague Road from Milligan Drive. Please also be mindful of oncoming vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles.

Speed - Please maintain a speed of 10km until you have passed the driveway of Curiosity ELC. There have been a number of near misses as people are accelerating too quickly when exiting the carpark.
