A fantastic achievement for Year 11 students Nicola Fallon and Gianni Mirco, who have both been accepted into the National Mathematics Summer School (NMSS), taking place in Canberra in January 2027.
With participation usually limited to no more than 75 students from across Australia, having two All Saints’ students selected is an outstanding accomplishment. It reflects Nicola and Gianni’s sustained commitment to mathematics through competitions and enrichment opportunities, both at school and beyond, as well as the support of their families and Maths teachers.
During the two-week program, Nicola and Gianni will stay at the Australian National University and explore areas of mathematics beyond the school curriculum. Alongside intensive study, they will take part in excursions and networking opportunities, with previous programs exploring fascinating fields including topology, cryptography, chaos theory and knot theory.
Congratulations to Nicola and Gianni on this well-deserved achievement!
