Triple P Parenting Seminar Series: Senior School - Term 4
What is Triple P?
The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is one of the world’s most effective parenting programs. It gives parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children and teenagers and to build stronger family relationships. It also helps parents manage misbehaviour and prevent problems occurring in the first place.
Three sessions are available in Term 4, primarily targeted to parents of pre-teens and teenagers (Years 5-9).
- Session 1: Raising Responsible Teenagers: Find out what makes teenagers tick! You’ll come away with new ideas to encourage your teenager to make good decisions, be respectful, considerate, reliable and involved in family life.
- Session 2: Raising Competent Teenagers: Set your teenager up for life with the strategies in this seminar which focuses on helping your child get the most out of their school years. Find out how to help them communicate well, develop self-discipline and good routines, follow rules and solve problems.
- Session 3: Getting Teenagers Connected: Help your teenager develop good, supportive friendships. You’ll learn ways to build their confidence, encourage their social skills, help them to plan and meet commitments and encourage them to take care of others.
What happens at a Teen Triple P Seminar?
Each seminar lasts 90 minutes and you can attend one, two or all three in the series. They target everyday concerns, such as how to encourage responsible behaviour, improve family relationships, deal with independence or manage problems at school or with friends.
Please note the program is free and a light supper will be provided.
Dates: Monday 2, 16 and 23 November
Time: 6.00pm – 8.00pm
Venue: Chapel
One more Junior School session remains this term: Raising Resilient Children on Wednesday 28 October.
