Staff Champion takes GOLD!

Ms Eeckhoudt Makes Waves at the 2025 AusChamps Dragon Boat Nationals!
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from this year’s AusChamps, the annual Australian National Dragon Boat Championships, held over six action-packed days in April.
Our very own Year 12 Coordinator, Ms Eeckhoudt, was proudly selected to represent Victoria in this prestigious national event. After months of intensive training with her local club, The Peninsula Dragonflys in Carrum, and the Victorian State Team at Docklands, Ms Eeckhoudt travelled to the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) in Penrith, NSW, to compete at the highest level.
Racing in both the 10-women and 20-mixed boat categories, Ms Eeckhoudt and her Victorian teammates gave it their all against fierce competition from across the country. Their hard work paid off, with the team bringing home two silver medals and one gold—an outstanding achievement!
Originating over 2,000 years ago in ancient China, dragon boat racing began as a cultural and spiritual tradition to honour the river dragon and celebrate the summer rice planting season.
Congratulations to Ms Eeckhoudt for her dedication, teamwork, and for proudly representing Victoria on the national stage.
You've made your school community incredibly proud!
