End of Semester 1: A Time to Reflect

As Semester 1 comes to a close, it is an important opportunity for students to pause and reflect on their learning journey. This includes recognising achievements, acknowledging personal growth, and considering the challenges they may have faced along the way.  Each student’s experience is unique, and taking the time to think about both successes and difficulties plays a key role in ongoing development. 

Reports

Semester 1 reports will be available on PAM early in the holiday break. These reports are designed to do more than simply communicate academic results - they provide a valuable opportunity for students and families to engage in meaningful conversations about learning progress and future goals. We encourage students and parents to sit down together to review the report and discuss both strengths and opportunities for growth.

Supporting Student Reflection

When reviewing their reports, students are encouraged to think deeply about their learning by considering questions such as:

• Have I been willing to challenge myself and try new approaches in my learning?
• When I encountered difficulties, how did I respond, and did I seek support when needed?
• To what extent have I been actively involved in my learning, especially when tasks felt demanding?

• Have I been consistent in meeting expectations, including completing and submitting class work and homework on time?

   

Honest reflection helps students to better understand their learning habits and identify areas for improvement in Semester 2.
