Fancy Dress 2026

Last week, the Year 7 students participated in the annual Fancy Dress competition. Each class worked with a group of Year 12s, who helped create, choreograph and teach a dance based on the theme of 2016.

After weeks of practice and rehearsals during school hours, all the classes came together and performed their dances in front of students and staff. The performances were creative, energetic and entertaining, and it was great to see everyone's hard work, teamwork and dedication pay off on the day.

Congratulations to 7E, who won first place with their performance inspired by Rihanna's 2016 Super Bowl halftime show. 7F came second with a Justin Bieber-themed routine, and 7I placed third with a performance based on a mix of songs including 3 Strikes, Lean On, 24K Magic and Dark Horse. We cannot forget about everyone's fantastic costumes and hairstyles. They all looked amazing! All three classes who placed, delivered outstanding performances and should be proud of their achievements.

A big thank you to the Year 12s and teachers for organising the event and supporting us every step of the way. We all really appreciated the time and effort they put into helping us learn our dances, build our confidence and prepare for the performance.

Fancy Dress was a fun and memorable experience that brought the Year 7 cohort together. It was a great opportunity to work as a team, build connections with the Year 12s and create lasting memories that we will remember for years to come.
