Football Grand Finals — A Weekend to Remember
What a weekend for SPC Football!
Saturday saw our footballers take to the field for the ISA Grand Finals, and what followed was a fantastic celebration of the depth, talent and hard work across our Football Program. Eleven SPC teams were crowned ISA Premiers:

These results are a fantastic reflection of the commitment shown by our students throughout the season. From our senior teams through to our younger footballers, each group has represented St Patrick’s College with tremendous pride and determination.
The weekend’s results also saw SPC win and retain the ISA School Championship Shield, a tremendous achievement and recognition of the strength and consistency of our Football Program across the entire College.
A huge congratulations goes to all students and coaches involved in our Football Program, particularly those who competed in the grand finals. Whether taking home a premiership or simply earning the opportunity to compete on Grand Final day, every student should be incredibly proud of their efforts throughout the season.
A special thank you must also go to Mr Falzon and Mr Conneely for their outstanding efforts in running and supporting the Football Program throughout 2026. Their organisation, commitment and work behind the scenes have played an important role in what has been a hugely successful season for SPC Football.
A quick correction to last week’s newsletter: our Third XI also qualified for the ISA Football Grand Final. Unfortunately, I omitted them from last week’s article, and I want to make sure their achievement receives the recognition it deserves. Congratulations to the Third XI on an excellent season and reaching the grand final.
A huge congratulations to all our footballers on an outstanding weekend. To our premiers, our grand finalists and every student who represented the Blue, Black and Gold this season.
Looking Ahead — Summer Sport
With our winter sports season now wrapped up, we turn our attention towards summer sport.
Our Athletics season gets underway this weekend with our first invitational carnival, as our athletes begin their preparation for the ISA Athletics Championships in Week 9. We wish all our athletes the very best as they get back onto the track.
Our Baseball season will commence on 12 September, with our Baseball squads already training in preparation for their first round.
Parents/carers and students are reminded to keep an eye out for further information regarding summer sport over the coming weeks. Details around trials, team selections, training, competition requirements and other important information will be communicated as arrangements are finalised.
We look forward to seeing plenty of students getting involved, trying something new and continuing to represent SPC with pride throughout the summer season.
Congratulations, Sebastian!
We would also like to congratulate Sebastian N on an outstanding performance at the NSW Senior State Swimming Championship last weekend.
Competing in the Boys 14–15 age group, Sebastian produced some fantastic results, including two State Championship victories. He finished first in the 200m Breaststroke and first in the 50m Breaststroke. He also claimed second place in the 100m Breaststroke in and finished fourth in the 100m Individual Medley.
