Community Update
Celebrating the 2025 Annual Giving Appeal
At Loreto Marryatville, the strength of our community has always been our foundation, and it continues to be a powerful force in shaping the future of our College. The spirit of connection, generosity, and shared purpose has already been reflected at our 120 year celebration this year and as our 2025 Annual Giving Appeal opens to the wider community, we’re already feeling the heartfelt support of so many.
To those who have already given – T H A N K Y O U! Your generosity speaks volumes. It reminds us that Loreto is more than a school, it’s a living legacy built on values, compassion, and the unwavering belief in the power of education to transform lives. Your support has already begun to make a difference, and we are filled with deep gratitude.
This year, we are proud to invite our community to give to one of three meaningful areas: the Scholarship Fund, the Building Fund, and the Loreto Marryatville Rowing Project. Each initiative supports a vital pillar of College life, and each gift, no matter the size, plays a powerful role in helping us move forward.
Scholarship Fund – Gonzaga Barry Bursaries
Named in honour of Mother Gonzaga Barry IBVM, the foundress of Loreto education in Australia, these bursaries continue her legacy of inclusivity and educational excellence. A gift to the Scholarship Fund helps ensure that a Loreto education remains within reach for girls who might not otherwise have the opportunity. It’s a gift of possibility and a chance to open doors, inspire ambition, and provide a place where every girl can thrive.
Building Fund – Restoration of the Acacias Building
The Acacias building is more than just bricks and mortar; it is a symbol of our heritage and an enduring part of the College’s story. As we look to restore and preserve this beautiful, heritage-listed landmark, we invite you to be part of this once-in-a-generation project. Contributions to the Building Fund will safeguard the Acacias’ future, for generations to come.
Loreto Marryatville Rowing Project
Our Rowing Program is a dynamic expression of teamwork, discipline, and resilience. With the Rowing Project now officially registered with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), every donation is tax-deductible and will directly support our rowers to enhance their training, equipment, and facilities. For so many students, rowing fosters a lifelong love of sport and a sense of camaraderie that is uniquely Loreto.
As we celebrate 120 years of Loreto Marryatville, we are proud to honour all our donors on a permanent 120 Year Donor Board at the College as a tribute to the generosity that continues to shape our legacy.
We warmly invite you to consider how you might be part of this year’s campaign. Whether you’re moved to support scholarships, preserve our history, or strengthen our sporting future, your gift will be deeply valued and it will make a lasting impact. Please click here to make a donation or if you would like more information.
Thank you for being part of this significant year in our College’s history. We sincerely appreciate your contribution with warmest gratitude 🤍
