Assessment
Year 10 students have transitioned to a formal assessment program that requires them, firstly, to attend school every day in order to be best prepared for assessment tasks. Students must then observe the processes and regulations of both NESA and our College Assessment Policy in regard to attendance for formal assessment tasks, and follow procedures in relation to those tasks. Parents/ carers can support their daughter by perusing the 2026 Assessment Plan and checking that they are organised and prepared for the assessment tasks in each of their courses. Assessment dates on family calendars will aid students in planning ahead and reducing interruptions to their learning.
For all Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12 students, absence on the day before or the day of an assessment task with a suitable cause requires the lodgement of an Illness/Misadventure Form for the issue they have experienced. Some official documentation is needed; for example, if the student is unwell, medical documentation is needed. A note from a parent does not suffice. This is to ensure that the assessment program is fair and equitable for all students. Parents can find the relevant Google Forms linked below, or under ‘School Documentation’ on Compass.

Leave Requests: We thank parents for their support of their daughter’s learning and their completion of formal assessments in Years 10 to 12 by not taking holidays during the school term. The assessment policy does not make allowances for holidays. Our letter communicating this was sent in early February and can be found HERE. Strong attendance has a direct correlation with student performance, and our leave policy is aimed at fostering academic performance, and fairness for all students.
The 2026 Year 10-12 Leave Request Form has particular details for students in Years 10 to 12. The Leave Request Form for Year 7, 8 and 9 students can be found here.
NAPLAN dates for Year 7 and Year 9 in 2026 are Wednesday 11 March to Friday 13 March, with some catch-up opportunities on the following Monday and Tuesday.
