Science

This week in Science class we explored the Muscular and Skeletal body systems as part of our term one topic, The Amazing Human Body. Students explored what these systems are comprised of, how they work and how they aid our functioning and survival.
We engaged in some fun hands on activities including moving our body parts and thinking about the joints and muscles which allow this movement, skeleton art and craft, and manipulating models of hands showing how the bones in the fingers are moved via tendons pulling on them from the attached arm muscle!
Term Topics:
Term 1 – Biology: The Amazing Human Body
Term 2 – Physics: Forces, Energy & Motion
Term 3 – Earth & Space Science: Our Dynamic Earth and Space
Term 4 – Chemistry: Materials & Changes
