Heavenly Father,

God of power and of love.

We pray for all the children

who are preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

May your Holy Spirit help them to grow in faith, hope and love

and may they come to know you as the one true God

who loves them without limit.

May their hearts welcome you gladly;

May their ears hear your voice in the scriptures;

May their eyes see you in all things;

And may they proclaim your glory

as they walk in the ways of Jesus Christ,

our Lord and Saviour.

Amen.

Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, the students strengthen their relationship with God and become full members of the Church, deepening their commitment to living in the world with a Christ-like disposition. The sacrament continues, strengthens, confirms and celebrates the Gifts of the Holy Spirit received at Baptism - wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, fortitude, piety, and fear of the Lord.

Frayne House Day

On Friday 17 October, our students and staff celebrated our House Patron - Ursula Frayne.

Originally from the Sisters of Mercy order in Dublin, Ireland, Ursula Frayne travelled to Australia in 1846 on the same boat as our College Patron Bishop Rosendo Salvado. Ursula Frayne opened the first secondary school in Western Australia - now known as Mercedes College. The word ‘mercedes’ comes from the Spanish word for mercy

Sporting Colours Day

Thank you to our students and staff for participating so enthusiastically in our Sporting Colours Day. Your generous donations will be used to buy some very important resources for indigenous students in the Kimberly.

Care Packages

Thank you to all of the wonderful families who have put together some very special care packages for students at John Pujajangka-Piyirn School in Mulan and Warlawurru Catholic School in Red Hill. They will be packed and sent up north next week just in time for Christmas!
