What a Superb Start to Term 3!

Congratulations to all our students, staff and families on such a positive start to Term 3. It has been wonderful to see our classrooms quickly settle into productive learning routines, with students demonstrating our school values of Respect, Collaboration, Excellence and Resilience from the very first day.

Across both campuses, there has been a real sense of purpose and enthusiasm for learning. I have enjoyed visiting classrooms and seeing students engaged, challenged and proud of their work. Thank you to our staff for the care and effort they put into creating welcoming learning environments and to our families for their ongoing support.

Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2026

NAIDOC Week is celebrated across Australia each year to recognise and honour the histories, cultures, achievements and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It provides an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations histories and cultures while celebrating the world's oldest continuing living cultures.

As NAIDOC Week occurs during the school holidays, Springvale Rise Primary School celebrated during the first two weeks of Term 3. This year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly," recognised and celebrated the strength, resilience and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples over the past 50 years.

Throughout our celebrations, students participated in a range of learning experiences that deepened their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives. Look out for or video of our author studies and our “Deadly Doors” on Facebook!

As a proud school community, we remain committed to ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives are embedded throughout teaching and learning, helping our students develop the knowledge, understanding and respect needed to contribute to a more inclusive future.

Foundation 2027 Enrolments Now Open

While we have only just commenced Term 3, planning is already well underway for our next Foundation intake.

Families with children commencing school in 2027 are encouraged to submit their enrolment applications before the end of July, in line with Department of Education timelines. As a special welcome, every family who enrols before the end of coming week will receive a FREE Springvale Rise Primary School indigenous t-shirt as part of their enrolment pack.

Please help us spread the word. If you know friends, neighbours or family members who are considering enrolling their child at Springvale Rise Primary School, we encourage them to contact the school to arrange a tour and learn more about our wonderful community. Enrolment forms are available at both campuses, and interpreters are available to support families throughout the enrolment process.
