Principal Post

Dear Families,
We hope all our Mums and special women were well spoiled last Sunday! So well deserved! Hope you enjoyed the beautiful gifts so thoughtfully chosen by your child/ren! Our celebrations here for Mothers; our Mass, Afternoon Tea and classroom activities went so well. Thank you to the choir for their beautiful singing.

Year 5-6 Camp
Next Monday our Year 5-6 students will head to Phillip Island for the Annual Outdoor Education Camp. They will return on Wednesday hometime. Fingers crossed and a couple of prayers for good weather but will be well prepared for a wonderful experience! Several staff will be supporting the students and we thank them for taking time way from their family.
Congratulations Ben!
Congratulations to our teacher, Ben Griffin, who graduated yesterday with his Bachelor of Education (Primary). What a fantastic achievement! We hope that you enjoy many years supporting students in their learning and wellbeing!
Avila Secondary College Excursion – Grade 4 Girls
Grade 4 girls will have the opportunity to attend an excursion to Avila College to experience what secondary school is like. During the visit, students will participate in a range of engaging activities in Science, Food Technology and Art, giving them a hands-on insight into different subject areas offered at secondary school. Students will also explore the school environment, meet staff and students, and gain a better understanding of life at secondary school. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to build confidence, develop new skills and begin thinking about their future learning journey.
John Hannah House Visit
Students from Grade 3/4B recently visited the residents at John Hannah House to share a special afternoon together celebrating Autumn. The students read an Autumn poem before working alongside the residents to create colourful autumn leaf patterns and artwork.
It was wonderful to see the conversations, smiles and connections shared between the students and residents throughout the visit. The experience was enjoyed by everyone and provided a meaningful opportunity for students to engage with members of the wider community.
Congratulations
This week Kiara form grade 3/4 won a
Gratitude Award for smiling at everyone and brightening up their day. You bring joy to SJV!
Mrs Glancy won an Empathy Award for being helpful and kind to all students.
