Yellow PLC Update

Term 2 has been full of learning, fun, and new experiences in Yellow PLC! Students have been settling into routines and building connections with peers and teachers.
English
We have been enjoying Pete the Cat, I Love My White Shoes and will soon explore The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Students are responding to familiar objects and actions, exploring books, creating shared texts, and making marks with various tools to build early literacy skills in engaging ways.
Maths
Students are exploring numbers, shapes, and movement through play-based activities. They are noticing how actions have effects, responding to daily routines, and interacting with objects and spaces around them.
History
This term, students have been learning about their families, daily routines, and the similarities and differences in their lives. They are exploring significant places and events, participating in celebrations, and discovering technologies that make everyday life easier.
Health & Personal Development
Swimming and water safety have been highlights! Students are responding to sensory experiences, participating in play-based activities, and practicing social skills. They are identifying important objects and people and making choices to show what they like.
Play to Learn
Through the Play to Learn program, students are engaging with classmates and buddy classrooms, developing social skills, collaboration, and confidence through structured play.
