Victorian State School Spectacular

Last Saturday, sixteen of our Year 5/6 students proudly represented Athol Road Primary School at the Victorian State School Spectacular. They performed in the mass dance, dazzling the huge crowd in bright, sparkly costumes and shining torches across the stage floor. The energy, colour and excitement filled the arena and made the whole experience unforgettable.
The day was incredible! Our students worked very hard during months of rehearsals to learn tricky choreography and build their teamwork. Along the way, they also made wonderful new friends, especially with students from Keysborough Gardens Primary School, who even taught us the fun hand-clapping game Down by the River. All that effort and friendship came together when they danced under the lights and celebrated the joy of music and movement.
I was so proud of our students and loved seeing how happy they were, laughing, playing and dancing together.
A big thank you goes to Mr. J, Miss Ella, Ms. Nigro and Candy Diep for all their support and care throughout the rehearsals and on the big day.
What an experience to remember!
