Inform and Empower Program – Supporting Our Students and Families Online

At Athol Road Primary School, we are committed to helping our students develop the knowledge and skills they need to safely and confidently navigate the online world. Thanks to the generous support of the Bendigo Bank in Dingley, we are proud to be running the Inform and Empower program across our school.

This school wide program delivers engaging, age-appropriate sessions for all students, giving them practical strategies to stay safe and make positive choices online. Importantly, the program also extends to parents and carers, ensuring that families feel informed and supported.

As part of this initiative, we are pleased to invite you to an online parent seminar, “Raising Kids in a Digital World.”

This session will explore a range of topics, including:

• Social media

• Online gaming

• Screen time and its impacts

• Cyberbullying

• Artificial intelligence

We strongly encourage all parents and carers to attend this valuable session. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain practical strategies, better understand the digital world our children are growing up in, and partner with us in supporting them to thrive, both on and offline.
