School Wide Positive Behaviour Systems

What a great start to Term Two we have had! Our students have settled back into the routines and rhythyms of our school and classes with great success. Students have been focussed on the value of respect over the past few weeks, demonstrating our expectations of respecting the rights of others to learn and being kind to ourselves and others. Students have reviewed their Ready to Learn plans and have been working on positive coping skills and strategies.
This week, our year 5/6 class has shown fabulous student leadership and have demonstrated our values through their organisation of 'Do it for Dolly day'. The senior class are helping to live our values of respect, resilience and responsibility through their promotion of kindness, inclusion and a message that bullying is not accepted in our community.
Next week, students will continue to explore inclusion, acceptance, diversity and allyship through the RRRR and wellbeing curriculum, considering diversity and celebrating our differences. This leads into our celebration of IDAHOBIT day on the 18th of May where students are welcomed to wear a touch of rainbow to show solidarity, create visibility, and promote inclusion for LGBTQIA+ people in our community.
