Grade 5/6

This week, Grade 5/6 students learned all about ANZAC Day in preparation for our ANZAC assembly. As part of their ANZAC Day learning, students made digital posters, learning how to use the features of Word documents to present their information. During the ANZAC assembly, students showed amazing respect and leadership.
Students have also been learning a little bit about WW2 before we start our Term 2 class text, 'Once' by Morris Gleitzman, which is set during this time. They made PowerPoint presentations, learning how to format the slides' backgrounds with colours and effects and experimented with creating interesting slide transitions. Then, some of the students presented their PowerPoints to the class, practising their speaking and listening skills.
A great start to Term 2, well done Grade 5/6!
