ArtExpress Excursion 

Senior Visual Arts and photography students recently attended an inspiring excursion to the Art Gallery of New South Wales, where they experienced ARTEXPRESS 2026, a showcase of outstanding bodies of work from the 2025 Higher School Certificate. The exhibition celebrated bold ideas, technical skills, and issues relevant to young people today, featuring a diverse range of expressive forms including ceramics, painting, photomedia, sculpture, and time-based works. Students were particularly captivated by the dynamic and engaging hyperrealistic sculptures of Australian artist Ron Mueck. The experience offered valuable insight into contemporary art practices and highlighted the creativity and diversity of emerging artists.
