CSEN Sports Leadership Summit

At the CSEN Sports Leadership Summit, there were about 100 students there from 10 different schools around Victoria who we got to meet and interact with throughout the day. We got put in teams with other schools and got to meet a bunch of different people and compete in games together against the other teams (my team was obviously the best).  In the morning, we played 4 main games, that all had a different Christ centered message.

My favourite 'lesson' was from the soccer rotation. The goal of that game was to pass the ball to your teammates 5 times in a row, while the other team tried to take the ball and do the same. Once you'd passed it 5 times, your team got a free shot at goals. The message behind that game was that you are proven in God. The idea was when taking the shot, there was nothing blocking you or pressuring you, because you knew in God you were already enough. Overall the day was awesome, and I loved having the opportunity to go and have a great day.

As someone who loves to play competitive sports and lead people closer to God, the Summit leadership event chucked the best of both worlds together. We heard inspiring messages about the victory Jesus has already won for us, reminding us that we don’t have to prove ourselves to others when our identity is already PROVEN in Him. It was also really cool seeing how God can use our passions and talents to glorify His kingdom. Making the whole day a worthwhile experience for us to look back on.

The Summit excursion allowed us to hear inspiring words about the victory Jesus has already won for us; therefore, we live not basing our identity on worldly things, but on Jesus. The way God can use our passion and talents to glorify His kingdom further is quite captivating. Overall, it was a super fun and great day connecting with other schools and having a good time.
