Drama Students Get Amazing Opportunity

Powerful Theatre Experience for Drama Students
Our Stage 5 Drama students had the opportunity to witness an unforgettable piece of theatre at the Glasshouse Theatre in Port Macquarie, viewing Scenes from the Climate Era by the renowned Belvoir Theatre Company.
The production was a moving and thought-provoking exploration of climate change — blending the political, scientific, and emotional dimensions of one of the most pressing issues of our time. With scenes that ranged from global political inaction to deeply personal stories of loss and hope, the performance offered a raw and honest look at a future shaped by environmental decisions made today.
A particularly striking motif throughout the performance was the use of sand — evoking the passage of time, the urgency for action, and the fragile, fleeting beauty of our planet. It served as a powerful visual metaphor that resonated strongly with the students.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Coastline Bank for their generous sponsorship, which made it possible for our students to engage with live theatre. Their support provided our young performers with a day of inspiration, reflection, and artistic enrichment that they won’t soon forget.
