Wingham Beef Week

A few weeks ago 25 Kempsey High School students travelled to Wingham, NSW for the annual Beef Week activities. Wingham Beef Week is a community-based event with a week-long program focusing on all facets of beef industry. A big thanks to Len & Kaye Grasso for donating steers and helping our students.
Congratulations to Thomas W & Mackenzie H for placing 2nd in their paraders heats, and Amelia B for preparing the reserve champion lightweight hook steer.
Our ICMJ students did very well, with Lylah Weismantel winning overall champion, and our team of 4 comprising of Lylah W, Tilly W, Riley M & Brydie M being the champion team.
Our team of Malise K, Lylah W, Tilly W and Kara MG also went on to be the champion beef appreciation team.
Well done to everyone who organised, helped or participated in any way during this event. It is always pleasing to see how hard work and dedication pays off.
