WEAR IT PURPLE DAY
Friday 30th August
We are encouraging our school community to WEAR PURPLE on FRIDAY 30th AUGUST so we can:
- Have a practical way of ‘wearing’ our school values of ‘Kindness and Empathy’ and ‘Inclusiveness’.
- Celebrate and promote diversity and inclusion.
- Advocate for and empower rainbow young people.
- Challenge harmful societal attitudes towards sexuality and gender identity.
- Instil a sense of trust in our young people that they are celebrated and respected, acknowledging all have the right to be proud of who they are and who they are becoming.
On 30 August 2024 thousands of schools, community organisations, universities, and workplaces will come together to create a more inclusive future for all Australians.
