Dotty Flowers inspired by Yayoi Kusama

⚫️ Dotty Flower Sculptures inspired by Yayoi Kusama 🌸

Year 1 children have been examining the colourful dotty artworks and life of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. At 95 years of age, she is still creating amazing dotty artworks!

They upcycled the plastic bottles used at this year’s Colour Fun Run to create these papier mache, wire and cardboard sculptures which were then painted and covered with lots of dots. Wonderful work Year 1s - this was a challenging project.

ps - In December a huge Kusama exhibition will open at the NGV!
