LANGUAGE SHARING – GRADE 5

In French class the Grade 5s have been sharing some words in other languages. Thank you to Mohamed, Ashton, Freddy, Kumi, Blai, Matilda and Sophia who shared some words in Somali, Mandarin, Danish, Japanese, Catalan, Spanish and Greek respectively.

We will look forward to some of our other students sharing soon.

Holiday recounts 

Grades 5 and 6 students complete a holiday recount on return to school after each break. Here is a sample from Libby in Grade 6.

Les Jeux Olympiques!!!

All French grades have been working on some Olympics-related activities recently. Here are a few examples:

Grades 5 and 6 Pictogram task: Learning the names of all the Olympic sports along the way.

Le tableau des médailles – Grades 5 and 6 tried to keep track of all the French and Australian medals – but there were simply too many to keep up !!! 

Allez l’Australie et La France !!

Les Phryges – our French Olympics mascots have turned out to be quite the hit !! Most year levels did some form of activity related to Les Phryges.
