From the Principal

Dear St Anthony's Families,
Our school prayer:
Dear St Anthony,
We are blessed with the loving community of St Anthony's School and Parish.
Thank you for the students, teachers, parents and helpers at St Anthony's School.
Please help the Parish Priest, the school and the parish community to continue your work. Help us to strive to seek the goodness in ourselves and find it in others.
May we follow your lead in showing justice and compassion to those we know and those around us, as we try to live our lives through the teachings of Jesus.
We pray for peace in our world and offer our thoughts and work to you.
St Anthony love and protect us.
Amen.

Saturday is St Anthony of Padua's Feast day, a special time for our school and Parish.
The main Parish Celebration will take place on Sunday, the 14th of July at 11am. The Parish will have a special celebration after Mass in the Padua Pavilion.
There is also a small celebration after all weekend Masses in the foyer of the church. We look forward to seeing many of you there. For more information, please see the latest Parish Newsletter.
St Anthony's Feast Day celebrations at school
We will celebrate St Anthony's Feast Day on Wednesday, 17 and Friday, 19 June.
On Wednesday, throughout the day, students will explore dance, movement, music, creativity, andteamwork while building confidence and developing their performance skills in a fun and supportive environment in their Kinect2Dance workshops.
The workshops will culminate in a special St Anthony's Feast Day Performance, where students will have the opportunity to showcase their learning and celebrate their achievements with the school community.
Families are warmly invited to attend thisevent, making it a wonderful occasion to come together, celebrate St Anthony's Feast Day, and enjoy the talent, enthusiasm and creativity of our students.
On Friday, our school will celebrate our School's St Anthony's Feast Day Mass at 9am. We look forward to presenting an absolute classic, the St Anthony's School Song. This song hasn't been sung for years and we are very excited to breathe new life into it.
St Anthony's: Netball powerhouse!
Congratulations to all our 5/6 students for showing what community and support looks like. All our 5/6 students went to the HOLT Netball competition on Thursday. It was so great to see that the support and cheering was so genuine and fabulous, and...... we might have done really well.... Please, check out Ms Norton's page on the netball to find out!
'Step into Prep' success
Thank you to Mrs. O'Hara, Mrs. Di Camillo and all the staff who have been busy making our Step into Prep a great success. The 4 year old kinder kids had a small taste of what it is like to be at primary school. It was very well received by the parents and most importantly by the students.
PFA thanks for the sausage Sizzle at Bunnings
A very big thank you to the PFA for organising the Bunning Sausage Sizzle last week. There was a real buzz around the place! A big thank you to Fiona for taking the lead with this great initiative. Also, thanks to Shirley and Sean for all the preparations and being there all day!
One of our new 2027 Prep student visited and his mum said that she felt so welcome and that they had surely made the right choice of school.
They raised over $2,000 for the school.
I will update everyone on where the money has been / is being spent in one of the next few newsletters.
Thank you team! What a fantastic effort.
Focus on Learning: Learning Conversations – Tues 21st July, Week 2, Term 3
Semester One reports will be sent home in the final week of Term, giving you and your child a chance to review their progress before we meet. Mr O'Mahoney has written about reporting in his Learning and teaching page.
This year, we've renamed our Progress Interviews to Learning Conversations. A small change that reflects a bigger shift in focus. Rather than simply reporting on the past, these conversations are designed to look forward. Our teachers and students will have already reflected on Semester One together, we will use this opportunity to also review it with you. We will also use our time with you to explore what's next: identifying quick wins and setting meaningful goals for Term 3 and 4.
Learning Conversations will be held on Tuesday, 21 July (Week 2, Term 3). Further details on bookings and timings will follow soon.
We look forward to partnering with you in your child's learning journey.
Fees: Reminder
Thank you to all the families who have made their fee payments or contacted Tracey or me for a fee payment plan.
A reminder to those who still have outstanding fees and no payment plan, to please make these arrangements as soon as possible.
In partnership,
Ru Lameijn
