Japanese

Konnichiwa, Monty Community!
Year 1 and 2 students have been expanding their vocabulary through The Very Hungry Caterpillar story. They can now say 「〇〇 o tabemashita」(I ate ___) in Japanese with great confidence and fluency. Students have also been developing their skills in recognising the days of the week using Kanji (Japanese characters).
Some classes have even started retelling parts of the story in Japanese. Well done, everyone – Sugoi! (Amazing!)
To help students practise the days of the week at home, here is a fun Japanese song. The tune is a little different from the one we sing in the Japanese classroom, but it is a great way to reinforce their learning:
🎵 Days of the Week Japanese Super Simple
🎵 Japanese day of the week song
Happy listening and singing! 😊
