                       Division Cross Country

Division Cross Country conditions were beyond tough — cold, wet, grey, muddy and slushy! ☔️🏃🏽‍♀️12 of our students represented Monty at the Division Cross Country Championships.

Despite the challenging conditions, every one of our runners showed incredible determination, resilience and courage. It truly was a Tough Mudder experience! We are so proud of the effort and sportsmanship displayed by our team. An outstanding four students have qualified for Regionals, with two additional students named as emergencies, a truly incredible achievement and a testament to all of their hard work. A big thank you to Ms Ady and Mrs Costa for also braving the wet, wild and freezing conditions to support our Monty kids throughout the day.

Congratulations to all of our runners, you should be extremely proud of yourselves! 💚💛👏🏻🏃🏽‍♀️🏃‍♂️☔️

                             Dr Cranky's Visit

We wanted to give a special shout out to Dr Cranky's Bike Visit.

They checked and repaired 35 bikes and picked up 6 critical repairs (including 4 faulty brakes). They did 86 individual repair actions including pumping 30 tyres, adjusting 19 brakes and putting on 7 bells.

On average participants are riding almost 11 times a month which is above the average they see at schools - some very keen riders out there, especially mountain bikers. We estimate that participants ride 4,440 times a year.

We connected with 57 different people including parents, students and volunteers/workers.

A special shout out to the students who helped out in the afternoon session, without even being asked! They were very busy pumping tyres and checking bikes.

Dr Cranky's will be back for a visit at MPS on Tuesday the 16th of June. All students are welcome to bring their bikes in!
