Exams | End of Year Preparations
As we approach the end of Week 3, our focus remains on purposeful learning, preparation for examinations and a successful transition into 2027. We encourage students to maintain regular attendance, make the most of class time and seek support from their teachers as they prepare for their assessments.
Families should note the following arrangements carefully. The Year 11 examination period commences on Thursday 12 November, and Year 10 examinations commence on Friday 13 November. Each year level has the day before their exams commence as a study day and are not required at school.
Arrangement | Year 11 | Year 10 |
| Last day of classes before examinations | Tuesday 10 November | Wednesday 11 November |
| Study day | Wednesday 11 November | Thursday 12 November |
| Examinations commence | Thursday 12 November | Friday 13 November |
| Rollover / VCE Ready commences | Monday 23 November | Monday 23 November |
| Final day of VCE Ready and attendance | Friday 4 December | Friday 4 December |
Students are expected to attend all scheduled examinations and participate fully in VCE Ready. This program establishes the foundations for next year’s studies, introduces key learning and helps students understand the expectations of their upcoming subjects. Families are asked to support attendance through to its completion on Friday 4 December.
Year 8 and Year 9 examinations will take place during Periods 1 and 2 on the following dates:
Year level | Subject | Date |
| Year 9 | English | Monday 16 November |
| Year 9 | Mathematics | Tuesday 17 November |
| Year 9 | Science | Wednesday 18 November |
| Year 8 | English | Thursday 19 November |
| Year 8 | Mathematics | Friday 20 November |
These examinations provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and develop their revision, organisation and examination skills. Teachers will support students with preparation, and we encourage families to help students establish manageable revision routines.
Meaningful teaching and learning will continue up to and including Friday 11 December. All students in Years 7, 8 and 9 are expected to attend school and engage fully in their lessons throughout this time, including after the Year 8 and Year 9 exams. The final weeks remain an important part of the learning program.
End-of-year activities will take place on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 December, providing opportunities for students to celebrate their achievements, strengthen friendships and finish the year positively. The final day for Years 7, 8 and 9 is Tuesday 15 December.
Thank you to our families for supporting students to remain focused, organised and connected to their learning as we work towards a successful finish to 2026.
