Captains Corner

Hey Everyone! My name is Sam and I’m the 2026 male vice-school captain, and I’ll be letting you know about things going around our school and the truly exciting upcoming events.

On Tuesday the 1st of September, the Year 4-6’s participated in the district athletics on the Bill Stuart Athletics Track. The day was filled with incredible determination and enthusiasm as everyone cheered on their peers. For the year 4’s it was a new experience whilst the year 5’s and 6’s were a little more experienced. It was great to see everyone helping each other out and pushing themselves to their athleticism to the limit. Our school performed exceptionally well, achieving a second place finish in the group we competed with. Those who received a ribbon, will proceed to the next round-Division. Congratulations to everyone who competed and good luck for the next rounds!

Get ready for an exciting school movie night on the 10th of September! Our students have officially voted for their favourite films, and we’ll be projecting the winning movie with the highest number of votes with our brand new screen in the gym. Students can bring their own snacks to enjoy during the movie, just please remember no nuts! This ensures all students are safe and don’t have to worry about allergies. The movie kicks off straight after school for our Prep’s to Year 2 students, until 5:15 PM, followed immediately by our Year 3 to Year 6 students from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. We can’t wait to see you all there for a fantastic night of fun!

Yet another exciting upcoming news, is that we are building a new sensory playground for our students! Each class was able to vote on their favourite playground equipment and we’ll be designing it based on their student voice. We’ll let you know the results soon, so until then, stay tuned!
