District Athletics

On Tuesday 1st September, 115 of our students from Year 4-6 represented GWPS at the Waverley Central District Athletics Carnival, and what an incredible day it was! Every student gave their best, showed fantastic sportsmanship and embraced the opportunity to compete against other schools.

We are incredibly proud to announce that GWPS placed 2nd overall out of the five schools! This is an outstanding achievement and a wonderful reflection of the effort and positive attitude shown by our students throughout the day.

We are also excited to share that 46 students have progressed through to Division Athletics, which will be held on Wednesday 7th October. What an amazing achievement!

A huge thank you to all the parents who came along to support your child and our school. Your encouragement helped create a positive atmosphere and meant so much to our students. We truly appreciate you taking the time to be there and cheer our students on!

Most importantly, congratulations to all 115 students who represented our school so proudly!
