St Monica's Day

St Monica's Day will be celebrated on Friday, 28 August and is one of the most significant and cherished occasions in our College calendar. It is a special opportunity for us, as a school community, to come together in celebration of the enduring legacy of our beloved Patron, Saint Monica, whose faith, perseverance and commitment to others continue to inspire us today.

This day is much more than a celebration. It is a chance for every student to experience the strength of our College community, deepen their sense of belonging and create lasting memories with their peers and teachers. Through prayer, celebration and shared experiences, St Monica's Day reminds us of the values that unite us and the vibrant spirit that makes our College such a special place.

The day will begin with our Feast Day Mass, providing an opportunity for us to gather in gratitude and reflection as a community. This will be followed by lunch and the much-anticipated carnival rides and activities, offering students the chance to celebrate, connect and enjoy the many experiences planned for the day. We encourage all students to fully participate in the festivities and embrace the opportunities on offer, making the most of this important community celebration.

Students will receive further information at Year Level Assemblies and during morning homeroom over the coming weeks. It is important that they pay attention to details that are specific to their individual year level. We take this opportunity to remind families of the following details:

  • All students commence the day at Dalton Road Campus and must be on College grounds by 8:45 am

  • The College will not be accessible once Mass has started and students will not be permitted entry after Mass. For security reasons, the College gates will not be open

  • Full College Uniform must be worn. Students are not permitted to wear PE uniform under any circumstances

  • When students arrive on campus, they are to drop their bags in the area they have been allocated. Students are advised to not store valuable items in their school bags

  • Students will be dismissed at approximately 2:30pm.

We eagerly look forward to celebrating St Monica's Day together and sharing in all that makes this occasion so meaningful. We encourage all students to embrace the spirit of the day, participate fully and help make this year's celebration a memorable one for our entire College community.
