Literacy
This term, Year 4 students have been exploring The Arrival by Shaun Tan. As this unique picture book contains no words, students have been developing their ability to infer and discover meaning through images, facial expressions and visual clues. In writing, students have been creating engaging narratives with a focus on character development, learning how to build believable characters through their actions, thoughts and feelings.
Numeracy
In Mathematics, students have been investigating data and learning how to collect, represent and interpret information. They have explored a range of graphs and data displays, developing their ability to analyse data, identify trends and draw conclusions from the information presented.
Camp Woorabinda
Year 4 students had an unforgettable experience at Camp Woorabinda. Throughout the camp, students challenged themselves and built confidence while participating in a variety of exciting activities, including canoeing, a high ropes course, ziplining, archery, rock climbing and riding billy carts. They also enjoyed feeding farm animals such as sheep, cows and llamas, building a campfire and cooking lunch over it. The camp provided many opportunities for teamwork, resilience and creating lasting memories with friends.
