Winter Gala Day 2026

On Friday the 19th of June 2026 we had our Winter Gala Day. The sports that were competed in were a boys and girls soccer team,  a girls netball team, and the girls and mixed volleyball teams. We all did very well with some incredible memories to keep forever. We had the amazing help of Joe, Jess, Alicia, Attila, Mellisa, Dani, Adrian, Corrado.

For the girls netball team they had some amazing games, but sadly did not get into the next round. Their team was Ella, Camila, Grace, Karla, Ari, Olivia, Alyssa, Abby and Rachel. They had an astonishing day and are now ready for next year and will be better than ever.

The boys soccer team performed really well and gave it their all. On the team there was Theodore, Jayden, Ollie, Alex, Miles, Phillip, Siharu, Jasper, Gerard, Matthew and Matteo. When they arrived they first played Huntingdale primary where they lost against them. Then they played Amsleigh where they tied, then against Oakleigh they lost and against Clarinda they tied. They all thought they had a tiny chance at making it to the finals because they were taking a long time to figure out who they were playing. They stayed hopeful the whole time. In the end, they had to play Oakleigh’s B team where they unfortunately lost. Overall they played really well and showed excellent team work.

For the girls soccer team they had some great games and came 2nd and one thing that put them down a bit was that the ground that they played on was very muddy and had a few slips and slops in the games. The team included Chloe, Zoe, Clara, Claudia M, Claudia P, Allegra, Imogen, Liana and Lauren. They won all of their games and tied one. They made it to the final but they sadly lost by 3 points. They were very happy to receive the runners up pendant and are commended for their great sportsmanship throughout the whole day.

The mixed VolleyStars team played at Springvale District Netball Association. They played very well and showed great leadership and teamwork. The team members were Marco, Henry, Szabi, Dion, Harry and Alba. They won 5 games and lost only 1 game, which helped them to finish in 4th place overall. Everyone worked hard, played with determination, and represented their team proudly.

The girls Volleystars team members included Miracle, Simonetta, Catelyn, Ana, Nella and India. Although they did not win any games they played amazingly well and had a lot of fun playing with good sportsmanship and being a great team.
