Celebrating Past Student Achievements

It was lovely to hear from our past students who have taken on leadership roles at Sacred Heart Girls College. Congratulations Juliette and Alba for continuing your leadership journey.

My transition from primary school to secondary school was both exciting and rewarding, and I am grateful for the strong foundation Christ Our Holy Redeemer provided. During my time in primary school, I had the privilege of serving as a Faith and Social Justice Leader in Year 6, which sparked my passion for leadership, service and supporting others. Throughout secondary school, I have embraced opportunities to contribute to the school community, challenge myself academically, and become involved in a range of co-curricular activities. These experiences have enabled me to grow in confidence, resilience and leadership. I have also been fortunate to receive several school awards along the way. Being appointed Deputy College Captain Faith in Year 12 has been a particularly meaningful achievement, as it has allowed me to further develop the values of faith, compassion and service that were first nurtured during my primary school years. I am incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement I have received throughout my educational journey.

I have learnt from the experience of past leaders at both Sacred Heart and COHR, who have inspired me to take a leap of faith and delve into leadership.
Throughout my years at school, I have always felt comfortable to voice my concerns and speak up for what I believed in, and being a leader in my senior years, I wanted to represent this for students, as I have seen through the many past leaders of the school. I have learnt that leadership is not about being the loudest person in the room, but the one with the courage and empathy to act on the issues.
From showing future students the college as a College Ambassador, to encouraging and motivating students to participate in events as a House Captain, these experiences have not only helped me grow my confidence but also taught me about leadership, communication and the importance of creating a positive and inclusive community.
