🌟P&C EXECUTIVE TEAM UPDATE - CASUAL VACANCY🌟

Our P&C has a casual vacancy for the Vice President position following the resignation of Melissa Petersen.

We’d like to sincerely thank Mel for all her time, effort and contribution to our school community during her time on the P&C. We really appreciate everything she’s done to support the school and our families.

Nominations to fill this position will be called upon at our next P&C meeting. If you’re interested in getting involved and joining our team, we’d love to hear from you.

💸GRANTS UPDATE💸

We are pleased to report that our application in the 2025-26 Volunteer Grants Round has been shortlisted by the Office of Dr Andrew Charlton where we have been invited to make a further submission for a grant of $5,000.00 on account of equipment to support the volunteers in our community. The further submission deadline is 29 May 2026.

We have also had the opportunity to work with our Principal, Kylie, in respect of supporting potential renovations to our School office administration building. There are certain works proposed to renovate parts of the office area to enhance privacy, security and supervision for both teaching staff, children in sick bay, and the Support Unit. On behalf of the School, we have submitted an application for a $100,000.00 grant on account of these works with the Community Building Partnerships Grant for the Epping Electoral district.

Finally, we have also applied to the Epping Club under the ClubGrants program for a grant in the sum of $9,236.00 towards replacing our Canteen’s aging oven, fridge, and broken freezer.

We shall keep you updated as to the progress of our grant applications and please cross your fingers and toes for positive outcomes!

💪VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS & EVENTS💪

It takes a lot of people power to make school events possible - especially large-scale, whole-school events. As the saying goes, “many hands make light work,” and we truly need YOUR help to create these special memories for our kids.

Moving forward, in the lead-up to each event we will put out:

  • a call for committee members to assist with planning and overall organisation, and
  • volunteer sign-up sheets for help on the day of the event.

Unfortunately, if we are unable to secure at least 80% of the volunteers required, the P&C Executive may have no choice but to scale back or cancel the event. Ultimately, the ones who miss out are our children.

Whether you can give a little time or a lot, every contribution makes a difference. Not all volunteer roles are on the day either - there are also behind-the-scenes tasks such as creating flyers, posting on social media, coordinating donations, and other administrative support.

Together, we can continue to provide the wonderful events and experiences our school community values so much.

Join a Term 3/Term 4 planning team below, with the volunteer sign-up sheets to follow closer to the event in question.
