Wynspeak

On Thursday 21 May, two representatives of Yarrabing Secondary College entered the Junior Division of the Wynspeak Public Speaking Competition. It is a cross-sector competition that invites a maximum of two students to present a pre-prepared speech, and a short notice speech.

It is with great pleasure that I announce that both of our representatives were victorious on the night.

Juoiwyn  (8G1) was the winner of the pre-prepared speeches. He talked about the need for greater financial education in schools across the country.

Jaskirat  (9R1) was the winner of the short notice speeches. He had to talk about his best personality trait.

All winners of the pre-prepared speeches, in both Junior and Senior Divisions, will compete at the Wynspeak Final next week. We wish Juoiwyn the best of luck as he continues to represent the College.

Year 9 Semester One Exam

In other news, our Year 9 students have their first Semester Exam on Friday 29 May. It is the first time their exam score will appear on their report. Students have been working very hard, using feedback provided from their latest KLT. We wish our students all the best for their first formal exam!
