Celebrating Community: Year 5 Welcome Dinner

Amidst the vibrant buzz of laughter and the aroma of delicious food, the Year 5 Welcome Dinner unfolded as a delightful evening of connection and camaraderie. It was a momentous occasion where families from across the school came together to share a meal, forge new friendships, and celebrate the beginning of a new academic year. The success of this heartwarming event was a testament to the collective effort and support of our school community.

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the families who graced the occasion with their presence. Your enthusiasm and participation played a pivotal role in creating an atmosphere filled with warmth and joy. It was truly heartening to witness families engaging in lively conversations and embracing the opportunity to connect with one another.

We would also like to express our deepest appreciation to the dedicated teachers who attended the event. Their presence not only fostered a sense of familiarity but also provided an invaluable opportunity for families to meet the educators who will guide their children through this academic year. Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourselves and for your unwavering commitment to our students' growth and development.

A special mention goes out to the incredible team of helpers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the evening. From the meticulous setup to the seamless serving of food and the efficient packing away afterwards, your efforts did not go unnoticed. Thank you to Lina Bartorilla, Rosa Camilleri, Marian Parnaby, Dione Fague, Belinda Barakat, Nicola Chatfield, Angela Shehadie, Louise Haddad and Caroline Matulic for your dedication and hard work in setting up the gymnasium.

Our gratitude also extends to the wonderful food servers, Caroline Chahin, Lynette Trainor, Evy Hagios, Angela Shehadie, Belinda Barakat, Nerida Shipley, Nicola Chatfield, Hae Jung Kim, Madhavi Gupta, Diana Sesar, Joanna Crisafulli and Vanessa Boys. whose warm smiles and attentive service added to the overall experience of the evening.

Additionally, we extend our appreciation to the students, Nicholas Lopizzo, Thomas Boustani, Alessio Cotroneo, Lucien Grognard, Ayden Bova, Christian Caristo, Jacob Hendry, Daniel Fague, Lucas Wong, Noah Capaldi, Marlo Guaglio, Jackson Khoury, Cameron Muter, Jamie Padd, Markus Borysewicz, Antonio Matulic and Louis Pinto who assisted in serving food and drinks, as well as diligently organising waste management throughout the event.

Last but certainly not least, a heartfelt thank you to our esteemed caterers, Monique and Joe Ghosn from 'il Bucco Kitchen' at Enfield, for crafting a delectable spread that tantalised our taste buds and left us craving for more. Your culinary expertise added an extra layer of delight to the evening, and we are truly grateful for your contribution.

As we reflect on the Year 5 Welcome Dinner, we are reminded of the strength and spirit of our school community. It is through events like these that we foster bonds that transcend the classroom, creating a supportive network where every member feels valued and connected. Here's to many more joyous gatherings and shared moments in the days ahead. Thank you, once again, to everyone who made this evening a resounding success.
