‘Relationships, Safety and Bullying’ Surveys
Please note planning is underway for students, parents, carers and staff to have the opportunity to participate in this survey in Week 10. An email will be sent to members of the College community providing a link that will allow access to the survey, which will take approximately five to ten minutes to complete.
Students will be given the opportunity in their survey to anonymously report occasions of bullying during 2024.
Similar surveys have been conducted in past years, providing the opportunity for longitudinal comparisons. The data provided in the responses from students, parents, carers and staff will be extremely useful in providing further evidence to affirm current practices while also giving feedback on how the College can develop in the areas identified within the survey. The data will be disseminated to members of the College Community in Term 2.
2024 Lenten Dances
Parents/carers are advised that the annual Lenten Dances will be held at the College Hall 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM on the following dates (doors will open at 6:00 PM):
Cohort | Dates |
---|---|
Year 7 | Wednesday 3 April |
Year 8 | Thursday 4 April |
Years 9 and 10 | Friday 5 April |
The dances are held this year as part of the fundraising for our Lenten Partners – Lucas Gardens School and Chalmers Road School, both schools for students with disabilities who we have had a long association with. Part will also be distributed to St Joseph’s Alice Springs and the Edmund Rice Life Training Centre in Papua New Guinea.
We are once again utilising the Humanitix platform for online ticket sales. Please note the following:
- Ticket cost is $30.
- Tickets will be available from 3:45 PM Monday 18 March.
- Ticket sales will close at 6:00 PM Wednesday 27 March.
- Details of expectations and instructions on how to purchase tickets will be made available via email in the coming weeks.
- Invitations will soon be forwarded to girls’ schools in the Inner West for them to purchase an allocated number of tickets.
- Once we reach venue capacity no more tickets will be sold due to our duty of care and the College’s WHS requirements.
In past years, parent/carer volunteers with active Working with Children Check (WWCC) documentation have assisted staff and Year 12 students with the running of the dances. If parents/carers are interested in assisting at one of the dances, they should contact robert.simpson@spc.nsw.edu.au or ingrid.viney@spc.nsw.edu.au at the College during office hours for further information.
