Bottle Tops    

The Animal Conservation Club are collecting plastic bottle tops to use for an artwork to bring attention to the importance of keeping plastic out of the oceans. 

 

If you have any plastic bottle tops to donate (please no nut product lids) please wash them and add them to the collection box inside the door of the Maker Space near the veggie patch.

Bee Hotels

This term the Preps having been buzzing around the Maker Space while learning about Bees. Each prep designed and built their own Bee Hotel to attract solitary bees to their gardens using a recycled tin can.

Wild Art Competition

Does your child enjoy art? Are they passionate about animal conservation? Are you looking for a fun activity to complete over the school holidays? Is your child age between 5 and 12? 

If you answered YES to all of these questions your child may be interested in competing in the “Wild at Art” competition this year. Entries are open from September 7th to October 24th this year. To enter choose an Australian endangered animal or plant and create an original artwork showcasing your chosen endangered animal or plant. Once complete reflect on your animal or plant and write a short 50-150 word piece of writing about your piece of art.

Parents you are welcome to submit your child’s work directly to the competition (see details below) by 24th of October at 5:00pm or submit your work to Erena Cain by the 22nd of October and she can enter it for you.
